Conjure Skin Therapies (“Conjure,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a skin therapy studio and medical spa in the Hillcrest / University Heights area of San Diego, California, and the website conjureskintherapies.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit our Site, book or pay for services, communicate with us, or visit our studio.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Contact and identity details: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and mailing address.
- Booking and payment details: appointment history, services selected, and payment information. Payments are processed by our secure payment processor. If you save a card when booking, it is stored securely by our payment processor (not by us) to secure our cancellation and no-show policy; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Health and intake information: skin concerns, medical history, medications, allergies, pregnancy status, consent forms, treatment notes, and before/after photos (with your consent).
- Communications: messages you send us by email, text, phone, social media, or forms on the Site.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and approximate location, collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.
Information from third parties
- Our booking and payment provider, analytics and advertising providers (such as Google), and review or social platforms when you interact with us there.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, confirm, remind you of, and provide appointments and treatments.
- To process payments, deposits, refunds, and gift cards.
- To assess treatment suitability and maintain safe, accurate client records.
- To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
- To send appointment-related texts and emails, and, with your consent, marketing messages.
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve our Site and services, and to measure advertising.
- To comply with legal, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations, and to protect our rights.
3. Health & Intake Information
We treat health and intake information with heightened care, consistent with HIPAA-style privacy and security practices and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA) where applicable. Specifically, we:
- Use health information only to evaluate, provide, and document your care, and for related operations such as scheduling and payment.
- Limit access to staff and licensed providers who need it to serve you.
- Store intake forms and records using secure, access-controlled systems.
- Do not sell health information or use it for advertising or marketing.
- Do not disclose it without your written authorization, except as permitted or required by law (for example, to a supervising medical professional, in an emergency, or in response to lawful process).
- Obtain your separate consent before using any before/after photos for marketing.
Conjure does not bill health insurance and is not a HIPAA “covered entity”; we accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards only (including HSA/FSA cards). We nonetheless handle your health information with the care described above.
Please do not submit detailed medical information through general website contact forms or social media; share it through our secure intake process or in person.
4. Text Messaging (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from Conjure Skin Therapies, including appointment confirmations, reminders, and, if you opt in, promotional offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
- To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation and no further texts unless you re-subscribe.
- For help, reply HELP, text 866-956-1605, or contact info@conjureskintherapies.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile information may be shared only with service providers that help us deliver messages.
5. Email Marketing
With your consent, we may send newsletters and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. We will still send transactional messages about your appointments.
6. Cookies & Analytics
Our Site is hosted on Squarespace and uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, preferences, analytics, and advertising. We may use Google Analytics, Google Ads, and related Google services to understand Site traffic and measure ad performance. You can learn how Google uses data at Google’s partner sites policy and opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or Google Ad Settings.
You can control cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner (if shown). Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share it with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf, such as our booking and payment provider (booking, payments, client records), Squarespace (website hosting), Google (analytics, advertising, productivity), and email and SMS providers.
- Licensed medical professionals involved in your care or supervision, as permitted by law.
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization, subject to this Policy.
Use of certain advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You may opt out as described below.
8. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know/Access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must retain for medical or legal reasons).
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (such as health information) to purposes necessary to provide services.
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To submit a request, email info@conjureskintherapies.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity before responding and respond within 45 days (extendable as allowed by law). You may use an authorized agent with written permission. Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, you may also request information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing; we do not make such disclosures.
Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet/network activity; approximate geolocation; audio/visual information (photos); and sensitive personal information (health information). Sources, purposes, and recipients are described above.
9. Data Retention
Client records, including contact information, phone number, email, saved payment methods, booking history, and any skin therapist session notes, are kept on file indefinitely so we can provide safe, continuous care. You may request deletion at any time under the CCPA (see Section 8), except for information we must retain for legal, safety, or recordkeeping purposes.
Removing a saved card: you can remove your card yourself using the link in any “Card on File” email notification, which opens your Card on File dashboard, or ask us at info@conjureskintherapies.com to delete it from our customer records.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Age & Minors
Our Site, online booking, and medical aesthetic services (including injectables) are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older, or as otherwise determined by the medical provider. Clients under 18 may receive skin treatments only with a parent or guardian present who provides consent; in that case we collect the minor’s information from, and with the consent of, the parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us information without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
Our Site may link to third-party sites (such as Instagram or Google). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site or services after changes means you accept the updated Policy.

Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of conjureskintherapies.com (the “Site”) and the services offered by Conjure Skin Therapies (“Conjure,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a skin therapy studio and medical spa in the Hillcrest / University Heights area of San Diego, California. By using the Site, booking, or receiving services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility & Minors
You must be at least 18 years old to use our Site or book appointments. Clients under 18 may receive skin treatments only when a parent or guardian books, is present in the treatment room, and signs consent. Medical aesthetic services, including injectables, are limited to clients 18 and older, or as otherwise determined by the medical provider. We may request valid photo identification.
2. Services
We offer skin therapy and esthetic services, and medical aesthetic services including injectables performed by a licensed medical provider. Medical aesthetic treatments require a good-faith examination and are provided only when the provider determines they are appropriate. We may decline or discontinue any service at our professional discretion. Service descriptions, availability, and pricing may change without notice.
3. Booking & Payments
Appointments are booked and paid through our secure booking and payment provider. By booking, you agree to our payment processor’s applicable terms and authorize us to charge the payment method on file for services, deposits, products, and fees described in these Terms. Prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include applicable taxes.
- Card on file: a card is captured at booking solely to secure our late-cancellation and no-show fee. It is added only by you when booking, is stored securely by our payment processor, and stays on file until removed. You can remove it via the link in any “Card on File” email notification (which opens your Card on File dashboard), or ask us to delete it from our customer records.
- No deposit is required beyond the card on file.
- We accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards only, including HSA/FSA cards. We do not bill insurance.
4. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy
- Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule.
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) and no-shows are charged 100% of the booked service price to the card on file.
- Running late? If you will be more than 10 minutes late, please text 866-956-1605 to let your skin therapist know. If time permits, your appointment may be extended; otherwise you may accept a shortened treatment.
- Arriving more than 20 minutes late may require rescheduling, depending on the service. Arriving too late to complete the service is treated as a no-show.
- Shortened treatments are adjusted to fit the remaining time (for example, prioritizing exfoliation and extractions over massage and masking). The price does not change, and treatments cannot be modified to lower the price.
- Packages: a no-show, late cancellation, or arriving too late to complete the service forfeits one package session instead of a card charge.
5. Refunds, Products, Gift Cards & Packages
Because services are personal and performed in real time, services rendered are generally non-refundable. If you have concerns about a treatment, please contact us promptly so we can review.
Retail products: all sales are final; we do not accept returns due to health and cleanliness standards.
Gift cards are honored as required by California law, with no fees or monthly maintenance charges, and are not redeemable for cash except as required by law.
Packages are subject to the discretion of Conjure and the individual practitioners.
6. Client Intake, Consent & Honesty
You agree to provide complete and accurate health information, including medications, allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy or nursing status, and recent treatments, and to update us of any changes. Medical aesthetic services require signed informed consent. Withholding information may increase the risk of adverse reactions, and you accept responsibility for the consequences of inaccurate or incomplete information.
7. No Medical Advice
Content on our Site, social media, emails, and texts is for general informational purposes only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It does not create a provider–patient relationship. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding a medical condition. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
8. Results Vary
Individual results vary and are not guaranteed. Outcomes depend on factors including skin type, health, age, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare instructions. Before-and-after photos and testimonials reflect individual experiences and are not a promise of similar results. Some treatments carry risks and side effects, which will be discussed with you before treatment.
9. Aftercare & Studio Conduct
You agree to follow aftercare instructions provided to you. We expect respectful conduct toward our team and other clients and may refuse service for unsafe, abusive, or inappropriate behavior.
Guests: no guests are permitted in the treatment room, except a parent or guardian accompanying a client under 18 for a skin treatment. Children may not be brought into treatment rooms without prior approval from the spa; to ask, reply to your appointment confirmation or text 866-956-1605.
10. Communications & SMS
By providing your phone number or email, you agree to receive appointment-related communications. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Privacy Policy for details.
11. Site Use & Intellectual Property
All Site content, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Conjure and protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission. You agree not to misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access.
12. Third-Party Services
We rely on third parties such as our booking and payment provider, Squarespace, and Google. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, which are governed by their own terms.
13. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Conjure and its owners, providers, and staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to services will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law, including for professional negligence or willful misconduct.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Conjure from claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or inaccurate information you provide.
16. Governing Law, Binding Arbitration & Class Action Waiver
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Please read carefully. This section affects your legal rights.
Arbitration. You and Conjure agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or any services, for any reason, will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except as stated below. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at adr.org, before a single neutral arbitrator. Hearings will take place in San Diego County, California, or by phone or video if you prefer. Fees will be allocated as provided by the AAA Consumer Rules and California law. The arbitrator may award any individual relief available in court. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Small claims. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in San Diego County if it qualifies.
Class action waiver. Claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate claims. Nothing here waives any right to seek public injunctive relief that cannot be waived under California law; such a claim will be severed and decided in court after arbitration of individual claims.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing info@conjureskintherapies.com with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out,” including your name and phone number, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
Severability. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will proceed in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and not in arbitration.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Site or services after changes constitutes acceptance.
