How much does the Blackhead Extraction Facial cost?
$119 for the 55-minute facial, fully customized, with blue light therapy included. Add Lux Light Therapy for $148 (60 min), Extra Extraction Time for $158 (70 min), or bundle red light, extra extractions and the Intensive Calming Mask for $168 (75 min) and save $48. Around San Diego, facials with extractions are typically listed from about $85 to $185.
Is the extraction process painful?
It can be mildly uncomfortable, but your skin is softened with steam and enzymes first, and every extraction is paced to your comfort. We check in throughout and offer breaks whenever you want them; most clients find it far easier than they expected.
Do you use metal extraction tools?
Rarely. Around 90% of our extractions are done without metal tools, using trained hands, cotton and patience. Metal extractors come out only for the rare angles that truly require them.
I have a lot of blackheads. Which option should I book?
Book the Extra Extraction Time option ($158, 70 min) for 15 more minutes of extractions, or the full bundle ($168, 75 min) with red light and the Intensive Calming Mask. Not sure? Book the 55-minute facial and decide with your skin therapist when you arrive.
How often should I get a blackhead facial?
Every four to six weeks, depending on your skin type and congestion level. Regular visits to our Hillcrest San Diego studio keep pores clear and prevent new blackheads from settling in.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Come as you are; straight from work or the gym is fine. If you have time, skip exfoliants and harsh products for 24 to 48 hours before your visit. Helpful, but never required.
Can I come in with a sunburn or a fresh tan?
A tan is fine if you've been using SPF 30+. A sunburn from the last 5 days means we should wait, because we can't exfoliate freshly burned skin. Have an event coming up? Text us at 866.956.1605 and we'll plan around it.
Can I get a blackhead facial while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Is the Blackhead Extraction Facial right for me?
If you're dealing with blackheads, whiteheads, clogged pores or oily, congested skin, yes. Active, inflamed breakouts do best with our Advanced Acne Facial. Not sure what your skin needs? Book our “I Have No Idea!” Facial and we'll build the right treatment for you.
What is a high frequency facial add-on?
High Frequency adds 10 minutes for $25, so the Blackhead Extraction Facial becomes $144 for 65 minutes. Your skin therapist glides a single glass wand glowing violet (argon) and orange (neon) together over your skin. The violet light helps clear congestion and calm blemish-prone skin, and the orange light adds a warming boost for a fresh, radiant look. It is not the same as radio frequency skin tightening. Not recommended during pregnancy and not for use over active, inflamed breakouts.
Are extractions done by a licensed esthetician?
Yes. Every Blackhead Extraction Facial at Conjure is performed by a licensed esthetician, which we call a skin therapist, in our private Hillcrest studio.
