How much does a custom facial cost in San Diego?
Our “I Have No Idea!” Facial is $119 to $195 for 60 to 75 minutes, fully customized to your skin. After your skin analysis, your skin therapist walks you through the recommended treatment and its exact price before anything touches your face, and you approve it first. Around San Diego, custom facials are typically listed from about $100 to $180.
What happens when I arrive?
You'll sit down with your skin therapist for a short consultation and a hands-on skin analysis under professional light. From there, we build your treatment on the spot: cleansing, exfoliation, targeted actives and finishing care matched to your skin that day.
I've never had a facial before. Is this the right one to book?
It's the one we recommend most for first-timers. There's nothing to research and no wrong choice. We explain everything as we go, and you leave knowing your skin type and what it actually responds to.
Can the treatment include peels, dermaplaning or LED light therapy?
Yes. Your skin therapist can pull from nearly everything on our menu, including enzymes, dermaplaning, professional peels, extractions, Korean techniques, organic Éminence skincare and red or blue LED light therapy, when your skin calls for it.
What's the difference between a custom facial and a Korean facial?
A custom facial is built around your skin that day, blending organic Éminence products with clinical techniques like extractions, peels or dermaplaning, plus red or blue LED when it helps. A Korean facial focuses on deep hydration and a dewy glass-skin glow using Korean-made products. If Korean techniques are what your skin needs, we'll use them here.
Is the “I Have No Idea!” Facial good for men?
Absolutely. We build the treatment around men's skin: congested pores, an oily T-zone, ingrown hairs and razor bumps. If you already know you want a men's-focused treatment, the Men's Power Treatment is $119 for 55 minutes.
Is it good for acne or sensitive skin?
Yes. Breakout-prone skin usually gets deep cleansing, extractions and blue light; sensitive or reactive skin gets calming, hydrating care and gentler exfoliation. For persistent or cystic acne, our Advanced Acne Facial goes further, and we'll tell you if that's the better fit.
Can I get a facial while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Tell us when you book and ask your skin therapist about pregnancy-friendly options. Some active ingredients and treatments aren't recommended during pregnancy, so we'll adjust your facial or suggest gentler options, and it's always worth checking any treatment with your OB-GYN.
How often should I come in?
Most skin does best with a professional treatment every 4 to 6 weeks. Many of our Hillcrest regulars started with this exact facial and now book their favorite treatment on repeat.
