How do you decide which peel I get?

Which chemical peel is best for dark spots, acne scars or hyperpigmentation?
It depends on your skin, which is exactly why this peel exists. Dark spots and hyperpigmentation usually call for a brightening blend of mandelic, lactic or glycolic with kojic; breakouts call for salicylic and sulfur; texture and shallow acne scars often step up to a TCA blend or a Korean coral spicule peel. We choose after we've looked at your skin, not before.
I've never had a peel. Is this a good first one?
It's the ideal first one, because your skin therapist chooses a gentle starting point your skin can handle, including organic enzyme and herbal peels for sensitive skin. If you're not even sure you want a peel versus a facial, start with the “I Have No Idea!” Facial and we'll figure out everything together.
Will I peel afterward? Is there downtime?
It depends entirely on the blend, and that's a feature. Tell us your calendar: if you can't afford flaking this week, we blend a no-downtime option; if you want maximum renewal and can hide for a few days, we can go deeper. Everything is discussed before anything touches your skin.
Do you offer Jessner, glycolic, lactic, mandelic or salicylic peels in San Diego?

Deeper skin tones are more prone to post-peel dark spots, so we lean on gentler, brightening acids like mandelic and lactic, keep strengths conservative and may suggest a few lighter peels before anything deeper. Your skin therapist checks your skin tone and history first.
Can I get a peel while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Tell us when you book and ask your skin therapist about pregnancy-friendly options. Some peel ingredients aren't recommended during pregnancy, so we'll talk through what's in your blend, adjust it or suggest a gentler treatment, and it's always worth checking any treatment with your OB-GYN.
What if I already know which peel I want?
