The hyperpigmentation peel
Even, Luminous Skin, One Visit at a Time
Dark spots, melasma and post-acne marks rarely come from one cause, so a single acid on every face rarely clears them. A hyperpigmentation peel works best when it is built for the pigment in front of it.
Ours is fully customized by licensed skin therapists based on your pigment and the downtime you want. It may use clinical-strength glycolic, lactic and mandelic acids in the 10–30% range, or advanced Korean peel ingredients like kojic acid, arbutin and tranexamic acid, with or without Korean spicules. Every peel finishes with Lux Red Light Therapy.
Want brightening with no peel downtime? See the Advanced Brightening Facial or the Korean Oxygen Facial with Advanced Brightening. Older, deeper pigment or acne scars? The TCA Chemical Peel goes further.
What makes it different
Why This Chemical Peel for Dark Spots Works
Six reasons clients choose it for pigment.
Built for Your Pigment
Not one bottle for every face. Your peel is built from several professional products, chosen for your pigment and your downtime that day.
Clinical-Strength Acids
Glycolic, lactic and mandelic acids in the 10–30% range, layered carefully and adjusted to how your skin responds.
Advanced Korean Brighteners
Or an advanced Korean peel with kojic acid, arbutin, tranexamic acid and more, targeting discoloration from different angles.
Optional Korean Spicules
Micro-fine Korean spicules can be added to help brightening actives work deeper when your skin is ready for it.
Lux Red Light Therapy
A 5-minute Lux Red Light Therapy session, with the energy of a full hour under regular spa panels, finishes every peel.
Series Pricing, No Package
Best in a series of 3. At $159 a visit, you already get the series price without purchasing all 3 upfront.

Ask about the Korean Coral Spicule Peel. Pregnant women should not book this peel. Breastfeeding mothers, book the “I Have No Idea!” Custom Peel instead, so your skin therapist can help you select a peel with no risk for breastfeeding.
No-downtime option
Brightening with no visible peeling, ideal before events.
Stronger option
Light-to-medium flaking days 3–6; no gym or sweating 5–7 days.

Step by step
Your 55-Minute Brightening Peel
Seven steps, fully customized around your pigment.
Skin and pigment evaluation
Your skin therapist looks at the type of pigment, how deep it sits and how your skin responds, then plans your peel and your downtime.
Deep cleanse & prep
Skin is cleansed and prepped so every active applies evenly. We skip dermaplaning before an acid peel to keep your skin protected.
Your corrective peel
Clinical-strength glycolic, lactic or mandelic acids in the 10–30% range, or an advanced Korean peel, applied in careful layers and adjusted to your response.
Brightening actives
Kojic acid, arbutin, licorice, bearberry, tranexamic acid or glutathione are layered in for your type of discoloration, with Korean spicules when planned.
Lux Red Light Therapy
A 5-minute Lux Red Light Therapy session calms the skin, with the energy of a full hour under regular spa panels.
SPF applied before you leave
Calming finishers, then SPF goes on before you walk out the door.
Your at-home care plan
Your skin therapist walks you through home care and your sun rules: no tanning or sunburn for 30 days, SPF every day.
About 55 minutes. Your skin therapist confirms your home care and sun rules before you leave.

Hyperpigmentation Peel FAQ
Answers to what people ask most about peels for dark spots and melasma. Still unsure? Ask a skin therapist, it’s free.
How much is a hyperpigmentation peel in San Diego?
Ours is $159 for 55 minutes in Hillcrest, including Lux Red Light Therapy. It works best as a series of 3, and since every visit is $159 you already get the series price without purchasing all 3 upfront. Around San Diego, pigment-focused peels are commonly listed from about $190 to $395 per session.
How many peels do I need for dark spots?
Most clients get the best results from a series of 3 peels spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, with each peel building on the last. Older or deeper pigment can take a few more visits, and daily SPF protects your progress between peels.
Is this a good peel for melasma?
Yes, with patience. We use well-studied melasma ingredients like mandelic acid, tranexamic acid and arbutin. Melasma is chronic and hormonal, so it responds best to repeat visits, daily SPF and steady home care rather than one strong peel.
Will it fade dark spots and post-acne marks?
Yes, that is what it is built for. Sun spots and post-acne marks usually fade over a few visits spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. HSA/FSA cards accepted if acne related.
What acids are in the peel?
It depends on your skin. Your peel may use clinical-strength glycolic, lactic and mandelic acids in the 10 to 30% range, or an advanced Korean peel with kojic acid, arbutin, tranexamic acid and more, with or without Korean spicules. Mandelic acid has a larger molecule than glycolic, so it works slowly and evenly on pigment-prone skin.
Will I peel afterward?
Only if you want to. We can keep it to no visible peeling, or apply it stronger for light-to-medium flaking around days 3 to 6, with no gym or sweating for 5 to 7 days. You choose before anything is applied, and the Clinical Recovery and Anti-Aging Mask add-on helps calm your skin after the peel.
Who should not get this peel?
Pregnant women should not book this peel. Please also do not book if you have a tan or sunburn from the last 10 days, because sun-stressed skin can darken after a peel. Avoid tanning for 30 days afterward and wear SPF 30+ every day. Breastfeeding mothers: please book the I Have No Idea! Custom Peel instead, so your skin therapist can help you select a peel with no risk for breastfeeding.
Can I add dermaplaning to my peel?
No. We skip dermaplaning before an acid peel so your skin stays protected. If you want dermaplaning, book it as a separate visit.
How is it different from the Advanced Brightening Facial?
The Advanced Brightening Facial is a $139 facial with no peel downtime, for brighter, more even skin on a regular schedule. This peel is the corrective treatment: stronger actives for dark spots, melasma and post-acne marks, with the option of a few days of flaking.
How is it different from the Korean Oxygen Facial with Advanced Brightening?
The Korean Oxygen Facial with Advanced Brightening is a full $129 facial experience with no peel downtime, so you can go straight back to your day. Choose this peel when you want concentrated, corrective work on stubborn pigment.
How is it different from the Lunchtime Glycolic Peel and TCA Chemical Peel?
This peel is for pigment: dark spots, melasma and post-acne marks. The Lunchtime Glycolic Peel is for glow, texture and clogged pores, and the TCA Chemical Peel goes deeper for acne scars and older sun damage.
Is my skin therapist a licensed esthetician?
Yes. Every Brightening & Hyperpigmentation Peel at Conjure is performed by a licensed esthetician, which we call a skin therapist, in our private Hillcrest studio.
