What is a Botox facial?
Diluted Botox droplets worked into the skin as your nurse microneedles. It targets pores, oil and texture, so your expressions stay the same.
Is PRP included with GlowTox?
Yes. Every session includes PRP microneedling at no extra cost. Your nurse draws a small amount of blood, spins it down to plasma and applies it along with the Botox droplets.
Will my face look frozen?
No. The Botox never reaches the muscles that move your face. You leave making every expression you came in with.
How is GlowTox different from regular Botox?
Regular Botox is injected into muscle to soften expression lines. GlowTox is applied to the skin during microneedling and works on pores, oil and texture. Many clients book both.
How much does GlowTox cost?
GlowTox is a series of 3 for $1,500 for the face, and that price covers PRP microneedling plus your choice of Dia or Ruby. PRFM is an optional add-on for $625 per session. Text 442.655.8617 to add it and mention code CONJURE1.
What is the PRFM add-on?
PRFM (platelet-rich fibrin matrix) is a richer preparation made from your own blood, a step up from standard PRP. It is optional, and the PRFM add-on is $625 per session.
How many sessions do I need?
A series of three gives the best results. Your RN sets the spacing between sessions, and paid-in-full packages come with promo pricing.
Dia or Ruby: which booster should I choose?
Dia leans hydrating and firming. Ruby leans brightening and evens tone. Not sure? Your RN looks at your skin and helps you pick.
Do I pay extra for Dia or Ruby?
No. One booster is included in every GlowTox. Name your pick when you book, or tell your RN at your visit and decide together.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Nothing shows on day one. The change arrives on days three to five, settles by about day ten and holds for three to four months.
What is the downtime?
A flush for a few hours. Skip makeup until the next morning and go easy on heavy sweat and direct sun for the first day.
Who should not get GlowTox?
It is skipped during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis, with certain antibiotics, and on skin with an active breakout or infection. Your nurse screens first.
Is GlowTox a Vampire Facial?
Not exactly. GlowTox includes PRP, the core of a Vampire Facial, then adds micro-Botox for pores and oil plus a klárdie booster. For plasma alone, see our microneedling with PRP.
How do I prepare for GlowTox?
Avoid tanning and sunburn for about 2 weeks and wear SPF 30 or higher daily. Tell your nurse about Accutane, cold sores, keloid scars, pregnancy or breastfeeding, neuromuscular conditions and all medicines and supplements, including antibiotics and blood thinners. Your nurse will tell you how long to pause retinoids, acids and ibuprofen. Eat and drink water before the blood draw, come with clean skin, and reschedule if you have an infection, cold sore or sunburn in the area.
What should I do after GlowTox?
Stay upright and do not press, rub or massage your face for the first 4 to 6 hours. Skip makeup until the next morning, then use a gentle cleanser, a hyaluronic acid serum or barrier moisturizer and SPF 30 or higher daily. Avoid direct sun the first day, skip workouts, saunas, hot tubs and swimming for 24 to 48 hours, do not pick rough skin, and wait about a week to restart retinoids and acids.
When should I call after GlowTox?
Call or text 442.655.8617 if redness, swelling or pain gets worse instead of better after day 2, you see pus, yellow crusting, blisters or open sores, you have a fever, you notice a cold sore outbreak, the blood draw site becomes very swollen, painful or red, or you notice a drooping eyelid or brow, an uneven smile or new muscle weakness. Call 911 for trouble breathing, swallowing or speaking, or swelling of the face, lips or throat.
Aftercare
GlowTox Before and After Care
Simple steps for calm, healthy healing. General guidance; always follow your provider's instructions and call us with concerns.
Before Your Appointment
- Avoid tanning, self-tanner and sunburn for about 2 weeks before your visit, and wear SPF 30 or higher every day.
- Tell your nurse if you have taken Accutane (isotretinoin), get cold sores, form keloid or raised scars, or heal slowly.
- Tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis or a blood disorder.
- Tell your nurse about all medicines and supplements, including antibiotics, blood thinners, aspirin and fish oil. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
- Your nurse will tell you how long to pause retinoids, acids, scrubs and anti-inflammatory pain relievers like ibuprofen.
- Eat a good meal and drink plenty of water before your visit. It makes the small blood draw easier.
- Reschedule if you have a skin infection, open sore, cold sore, active breakout or sunburn in the area.
- Come with clean skin: no makeup, lotion or sunscreen. Allow time for numbing if you want it.
After Your Treatment
- Expect redness, warmth and mild swelling, and skin that feels rough like fine sandpaper. Pinpoint bleeding or small bruises can happen.
- For the first 4 to 6 hours, stay upright and do not press, rub or massage your face. Ask your nurse when you can lie flat.
- Leave the products on and skip makeup until the next morning, or until your nurse says to rinse. Then use cool water and a gentle cleanser.
- Use only a gentle cleanser and a hyaluronic acid serum or barrier moisturizer. Wash your hands first and use a clean pillowcase.
- Stay out of direct sun for the first day. After that, wear SPF 30 or higher daily.
- Skip workouts, heavy sweating, saunas, hot tubs and swimming for 24 to 48 hours, or as long as your nurse advises.
- Do not pick or scrub rough or flaking skin. Wait about a week to restart retinoids, acids and vitamin C.
- Skip facials, face massage and peels for about 2 weeks unless your nurse or skin therapist says otherwise.
- Right afterPink to red flush, warm and a little swollen. Stay upright, hands off.
- Day 1Redness eases. Skin may feel tight or rough like sandpaper. Gentle cleanser, then SPF.
- Days 2 to 3Pinkness fades. Dryness or light flaking. Keep your routine simple.
- Days 4 to 7Pores, oil and shine start to look refined. Skin feels smoother.
- Week 2 and beyondResults settle by about day 10 and last 3 to 4 months. Your RN plans your next session.
