Your nurse reviews your skin tone, medications and sun history — including any recent tan, which matters more here than anywhere. IPL is only offered to skin it's right for; that's the deal.
02 — Cleanse & Shield
Skin is cleansed, cooling gel goes on, and your eyes are covered — the flashes are bright, and the shields do the squinting for you.
03 — The Settings
The light's spectrum and energy are tuned to your targets — one calibration for brown spots, another for redness, adjusted zone by zone rather than one blast for everything.
04 — The Pass
The handpiece moves across each area delivering quick flashes — each one a warm snap, like a rubber band with the temper of a sunbeam. A full face runs about twenty minutes; add the chest or hands and you're still out within the hour.
05 — Calm & Protect
Cooling, moisturizer, and the strictest SPF talk you'll ever enjoy. For the next two days: no hard workouts, no saunas, no sunbathing — the light did its work, now the skin does its part.
06 — The Reveal
Your spots get darker before they leave — the coffee-grounds phase, days two through seven, is the treatment working, not going wrong. Melasma — the hormonal kind of pigmentation — is the big one; light can provoke it rather than clear it, so it belongs with our pigment-correcting peels instead. It's skipped during pregnancy, on tanned or recently sun-exposed skin, alongside photosensitizing medications including isotretinoin and certain antibiotics, and on skin with an active infection or cold-sore flare.
