What Is a Pumpkin Enzyme Peel?
A pumpkin peel uses fruit enzymes from pumpkin to dissolve the dead, dull cells on the surface of your skin, so fresher, brighter skin shows through.
Every peel is performed by licensed skin therapists (also called estheticians) and fully customized to your skin that day, from the strength of the acid layer to your mask.
Ours goes further. Pumpkin Peel + Ultra is our strongest pumpkin treatment: a professional blend of mandelic, lactic and salicylic acids, then a second layer of high-potency pumpkin enzyme for deeper resurfacing, brighter tone and smoother texture. It’s the peel clients choose when they want visible results without the downtime of a traditional chemical peel, and it’s a seasonal favorite, right when a San Diego summer shows up as dullness, sun spots and rough texture.
“Ultra” means a stronger peel, not a laser. In this treatment, Ultra is the clinical acid layer under the pumpkin enzyme. It’s not the Lutronic ULTRA laser offered at our med spa.

The Ultra acid layer
The professional blend of 25% mandelic, 10% lactic and 2% salicylic acids goes on first, dosed for your skin. Expect a warm tingle, not a burn.
Pumpkin enzyme layer
A second layer of high-potency pumpkin enzyme digests dull surface cells and intensifies the resurfacing and brightening.
Gentle extractions
Congestion is cleared only where it’s needed. Never forced.
Custom mask

Some clients notice light flaking in thinner areas, like around the nose or mouth, for a day or two, and moisturizer covers it. You can go back to work, dinner or errands right after your appointment.

Is a pumpkin peel good for acne?

Can I get a pumpkin peel while pregnant or nursing?
We don't recommend Pumpkin Peel + Ultra while you're pregnant or nursing because it contains salicylic acid. We'll steer you to a gentler facial instead. The same goes if you've used Accutane recently or have a sunburn or an active cold sore.
How often should I get a pumpkin peel?
Most clients book every 4 to 6 weeks. After a sunny San Diego summer, a series of two or three peels is the best way to reset your skin. Your skin therapist will recommend the right timing for your skin and goals.
Is the Ultra in Pumpkin Peel + Ultra a laser?

Yes. Mandelic acid, the backbone of the blend, is one of the gentlest resurfacing acids and a favorite for deeper skin tones because it carries a much lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation than harsher peels.
